Reconstitution

Peptide calculator

Work out the concentration after reconstitution, the volume to draw for a given amount, and how many samples a vial holds. Arithmetic only — this is not dosing advice.

Your values

Picking one fills in the vial size. Every value stays editable.
Bacteriostatic water, usually 1 to 3 mL
1 mg = 1,000 mcg.
Syringe
U-100 syringes: 100 units = 1 mL, so 1 unit = 0.01 mL.
Concentration

Milligrams in the vial divided by the millilitres of solvent you added. That is what one millilitre of the solution contains.

Volume to draw

The amount you want in one sample divided by the concentration. A U-100 syringe reads 100 units to the millilitre.

Samples per vial

The whole vial in micrograms divided by the amount per sample, rounded down to whole samples.

Reconstitution is a unit conversion: milligrams in the vial, millilitres of solvent, micrograms per sample. The calculator above does the arithmetic and shows the volume to draw on a U-100 syringe. For the handling itself see the FAQ.
